The most important thing for me was finding a place that was right for me. The staff cares for you, works with you and is by your side the entire time but the main thing is they teach you, not just to lose weight but to be healthy. What a great place! My biggest struggle was my movement, I couldn't touch my toes and my sleeping pattern was horrible; now I am able to touch my toes, tie my shoe laces and I'm sleeping great at night. In the past I couldn't pass up a fast food place now I haven't even walked through the doors; I have NO desire for it. Healthe Habits for Living taught me what foods are best for me and learned to make healthier choices and not eating high calorie meals. I am now setting goals for myself and achieving them one step at a time!!
Healthe Habits is just what the name implies! The staff works with you to address dietary needs and exercise based on your unique needs. They also give you the emotional support and the accountability so that you can succeed and see results. My blood sugar is down without the need for medication. My flexibility and mobility have increased enormously and best of all I'm losing weight and not feeling nutritionally deprived! Thanks Healthe Habits!!

After participating in the Healthe Habits for Living program, I've learned that exercise after 65 is non negotiable. I thought my life was over after 65 but then my doctor sent me here. Before HHL, I literally had to drop out of class because I couldn't sit because I was in agony with back pain. After going through HHL's program, I was able to sit through a whole semester of two and 1/2 hour classes. When I went to Disneyland in 2010, I had to use a motor-scooter all day, and after HHL, I went to Baton Rouge with my grand kids for the day.... they told me - "Grammy we can't keep up with you." No more wheelchairs. I've now done two 5K's and my new goal is a 10K. Now my husband tells me I am walking too fast! HHL has helped me in so many ways! Thank you!

They relate to real life situations. The time in the gym flies by – because they fill that time with interesting facts. I have always had weight problems and this really shows you how easy it can be to still enjoy foods you crave and still lose weight. Taking small steps really helps you reach your long term goals.
