Jill Hurley OTR, CHT – Owner/Director of Healthē, LLC. Jill created The Healthē Habits for Living Program in 2008 after 2 years of research and development merging her past experiences in multiple practice settings as an Occupational Therapist.
In 2015 she established the Healthē Habits for Living Network of like-minded therapists providing the Healthē Habits for Living Program in their facilities.
She is the director and a Registered Occupational Therapist (since1990) working with her clients/patients on a daily basis at her outpatient clinic in Lafayette, LA. She has attended and taught many continuing education courses on the subjects of weight management and reducing inflammation.
Jill is a member of The American Occupational Therapy Association, Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association, The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Obesity Medicine Association, and The Obesity Society. She was awarded the 2011 Women in Business Champion by the Small Business Administration.
Jill’s education background includes: Bachelor Degrees from Louisiana State University and University of Southern California in Psychology(1989) and Occupational Therapy(1990) respectively.
Specialized Training includes various continuing education courses on the latest developments in research and treatment of obesity, diabetes, pre-diabetes, metabolic syndrome, strength training, ergonomic/job analysis, functional capacity evaluations. Other training includes Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant training from the American Council on Exercise(2008) ; Life Advisor training from the Lifestyle Redesign Center at USC in Los Angeles(2008); Jill is also a Certified Hand Therapist in good standing since 1995.
Licenses: Jill is licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Louisiana since 1998. She has also held licenses and practiced in California, Washington D.C. and Virginia.
Jill enjoys running and spending time with her husband, Mark, her family and friends, and her dog and cat.
Nancy Kane – Assistant Director of Healthē, LLC. Nancy is a certified Physical Therapy Technician since 2002. She is a graduate of Unitech Training Academy. Nancy is also certified as a Zumba instructor and as a certified Pilates mat instructor. Nancy regularly attends various continuing education courses to stay up to date with the latest developments to assist her clients in achieving their lifestyle goals. She enjoys helping her clients with an attitude of encouragement and exuberance.
Nancy is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Nancy, a new mother, enjoys time with her family and her new role as a parent.
Kristi Ikerd – Continuing Education Coordinator, Occupational Therapy Technician, and Health Coach for Healthē, LLC. Kristi is a graduate of Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Psychology. Kristi is also certified as a Health Coach and Weight Management Specialist from the American Council on Exercise and is a certified trainer through Revo2lution Running. She enjoys motivating her clients in their pursuit of lifestyle changing goals through education, encouragement and exercise.
Kristi also enjoys running and trying out new healthy recipes on her family.
