Jill Hurley is a Registered Occupational Therapist (1990) and licensed in the state of Louisiana. She is the owner/founder of Healthē Habits for Living (2008). Jill is a member of The American Occupational Therapy Association, Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association, The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Obesity Medicine Association, and The Obesity Society. She was awarded the 2011 Women in Business Champion by the Small Business Administration.
In addition to extensive courses on bariatric related topics, Jill’s education background includes: Bachelor Degrees from Louisiana State University and University of Southern California in Psychology(1989) and Occupational Therapy(1990) respectively.
Specialized Training includes various continuing education courses on the latest developments in research and treatment of obesity, diabetes, pre-diabetes, metabolic syndrome, strength training, ergonomic/job analysis, functional capacity evaluations. Other training includes Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant training from the American Council on Exercise(2008) ; Life Advisor training from the Lifestyle Redesign Center at USC in Los Angeles(2008); Jill is also a Certified Hand Therapist in good standing since 1995.
Licenses: Jill is licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Louisiana since 1998. She has also held licenses and practiced in California, Washington D.C. and Virginia.
Jill enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, her family, and her dog and cat.
Nancy Kane is a certified Physical Therapy Technican since 2002, and a graduate of Unitech Training Academy. She is the Assistant Director of Healthē, L.L.C., manages the satellite location on Farrel Road, and the manager of Camp Healthē. Nancy is certified as a Zumba instructor and contracts in the Lafayette area. Nancy attends various continuing education courses as well. She enjoys helping her clients with an attitude of encouragement and exuberance. Nancy is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Heather Quirk is the Continuing Education Coordinator for Healthe Habits for Living. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Promotion and Wellness in the spring of 2012 and also received her Personal Training Certification through ACE in August 2017. Heather enjoys encouraging and motivating others to achieve a goal they have set for themselves. She loves to inspire people to get in shape, stay in shape and carry on living a healthy lifestyle as she knows how important it is for our well-being.
