Jill Hurley is a Registered Occupational Therapist and licensed in the state of Louisiana. She is a member of The American Occupational Therapy Association, The American Society of Bariatric Physicians, and also, The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. She is also the owner/Director of Healthē Habits for Living. Jill has been an Occupational Therapist since 1990 and was awarded the 2011 Women in Business Champion by the Small Business Administration.
Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 1987. Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1989. Six months of intensive internships at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute in Los Angeles, and at Duke’s Pediatric Hospital, in Durham, N.C.
Specialized Training: Jill attends various continuing education courses regularly on the latest developments in research and treatment of obesity, diabetes, prediabetes, strength training, ergonomic/job analysis, functional capacity evaluations and metabolic syndrome. Jill became a certified Hand Therapist in 1995 and a Life Advisor through the Lifestyle Redesign Center at USC in Los Angeles in 2008. Finally, Jill is also certified as a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant.
Licenses: Jill is licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Louisiana since 1998. She has also held licenses and practiced in California, Washington D.C. and Virginia.
Nancy Kane is a certified Physical Therapy Technican since 2002, and a graduate of Unitech Training Academy. She is the Assistant Director of Healthē, L.L.C., manages the satellite location on Farrel Road, and the manager of Camp Healthē. Nancy is certified as a Zumba instructor and contracts in the Lafayette area. Nancy attends various continuing education courses as well. She enjoys helping her clients with an attitude of encouragement and exuberance. Nancy is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Heather Quirk is the Office Administrator for Healthe Habits for Living. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Promotion and Wellness in the spring of 2012. Heather enjoys encouraging and motivating others to achieve a goal they have set for themselves. She loves to inspire people to get in shape, stay in shape and carry on living a healthy lifestyle as she knows how important it is for our well-being.
Kerry Hoffpauir, PT, MTC, brings with her 15 years of experience in Physical Therapy and a progressive new technique designed to relieve aching muscles and decrease pain. This specialty certification of Trigger Point Dry Needling is a technique in which acupuncture needles are inserted into trigger points to relieve pain. Ms. Hoffpauir is one of only a handful in our state to have earned this highly specialized certification.
Her other areas of specialty include Certified Manual Therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and Certified Pilates Mat Instructor. She combines her impressive expertise in all of these areas to provide a complete solution in the restoration of a client’s function as quickly as possible.
Ms. Hoffpauir uses the newest and most innovative techniques to not only alleviate our client’s pain, but to empower them to take active control of their health.
A graduate of LSU Medical Center, Mrs. Hoffpauir also enjoys sharing her knowledge by teaching continuing education courses across the country.

Dolly B. Smith (HHL Therapy Center, Covington Louisiana) is a native of the New Orleans area and brings with her over 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist. Her clinical focus has been outpatient orthopedics and rehabilitation. Dolly obtained her Certification in Hand Therapy in 1991 and a Master of Pastoral Studies degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Loyola University in 2000, and is certified in aquatic therapy and rehabilitation.
Dolly has worked in various fields of Occupational Therapy, including: Rehabilitation, Outpatient Orthopedics, Psychiatric, Home Health, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Acute Care, and Wellness. She also taught at LSUHSC in New Orleans.
Amanda Hines (HHL Therapy Center, Covington Louisiana) graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Nutrition and a minor in Health Promotion in the spring of 2013.
After she graduated, she attended Louisiana State University to further her studies in food and nutrition. Amanda believes adopting healthier eating habits and more active lifestyles are important in the prevention of obesity and other chronic health conditions.
Her goal is to educate individuals, families, and communities on how to incorporate foods that help them meet their dietary needs in order to improve their overall quality of life.
Nadia Johnson (HHL Therapy Center, Covington Louisiana) is a native of New Orleans, LA and has lived in the Mandeville/Covington area for the past 10 years. She graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center in 2007. Her clinical focus is neurological conditions (stroke, TBI, SCI, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease), community reintegration and wellness. She has expertise in interdisciplinary care and training in aquatic therapy.
Nadia has worked in various fields of occupational therapy: Inpatient TBI/SCI Rehabilitation, General Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Ortho/Neuro Acute Care, Community based Care for individuals with neurological conditions, Psychiatric. She also taught at LSU Health Sciences Center. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and a member of the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD).
We will provide a refund for the first four individual therapy sessions if you are dissatisfied. Any dissatisfaction must be reported in writing no later than five days following each unsatisfactory session to allow us time to review the course of therapy, explain the therapeutic goals, and make necessary adjustments to ensure your satisfaction. If after the fourth individual therapy session you remain dissatisfied with the therapy, we will refund all the therapy fees paid.
