I don’t know about you, but I struggle daily with my weight and have done so all of my life. I have tried diet after diet. Each time I would have success for a little while, but when my motivation or my will power failed, I would revert back to the same bad habits. I now know this is because I didn’t change my bad habits. It was more like a band aid to fix the problem.
Since starting this journey, I have lost weight and have kept it off. I changed the way I think, relate to, consume, and manage food and exercise on a daily basis. Basically, rehabilitating how I live my life.
If you have expectations that a diet will work and then the diet “fails” you, you start to believe that none of them will work. Sort of like “the boy that cried wolf.” Pretty soon, you just don’t believe any of the diet promises anymore. So why bother if “I am just going to fail again.”
